Artifact of the Week – Mayor Horovitz Picnic, Cornwall the Seaway City, Mayor’s picnic beanie, Mayor’s picnic t-shirt, Cornwall’s Central Park, Horovitz Park

King George 251T-shirt and beanie for the August 1956 edition of Cornwall Mayor Horovitz’s annual picnic usually held in Central Park, but in 1956 held at the Cornwall Athletic Grounds. (Joe St. Denis Field).  Central Park was renamed Horovitz Park after his death.

horovitz picnic0001The picnic was usually held in Central Park, but was moved to the Cornwall Athletic Grounds in 1956 as part of Seaway building celebrations.
