The 1901 “Freeholder” enthused:  “The building is of unique and handsome design, of pressed brick, with stone facings, three stories in height, with a basement.  The total frontage is 90 feet, including wing, depth of main building 40 feet…Accommodation is provided for between 30 and 40 patients.  The interior is finished in natural wood giving a light and cheerful effect.  The Society of King’s Daughters furnished the men’s and women’s public wards complete, provided a considerable portion of other equipment…The Children’s Ward, a beautiful apartment, was furnished by the Children’s League…”  There are at present 12 nurses on the nursing staff.
