Artifact of the Week. Advertising thermometer for A.J. Clouthier, Cornwall.

A plastic advertising thermometer for A.J. Clouthier, 47 Pitt St., Cornwall.  Donated to the museum in 1992.

Before relocating to Pitt Clouthier was at 345 5th St. W.

Clouthier moved again and in 1960 was found at 2 1st St. E.

Log Book, James Begg, Justice of the Peace.

Nutall Barnes of the Township of Roxborough in the County of Stormont, blacksmith maketh aoth and saith that on the 15th day of Nov. instant at Moose Creek in the Twp of Rox. William McLeod of the Twp. of Rox. labourer did voluntarily assault  and beat this opponent  by striking him with his fists and feet several blows on the head face and other parts of his body without any just cause or legal provocation.
