Adam Hartle was born in the Province of New York in 1762 and enlisted on May 22, 1780.  He was a farmer by trade.  In 1784 he and his wife Mary DeWitt were given land in Royal Township No. 2 (Cornwall).

This document was donated to the Cornwall Community Museum’s archives by the Loyalist Pescod Family in 2009.
