Northeast side of Pitt Street looking north from 2nd., 1956.  Mayor Horovitz is on the left hand side of the car waving, the man next to him is probably Mayor Johns of Massena.  Both politicians were celebrating the coming building of the much anticipated Ontario Hydro and St. Lawrence Seaway Project.

This is a very small sample of the archival material about Mayor Horovitz’s annual picnics kept at the Cornwall Community Museum.
