Photograph of the Week. C & R Marleau Hardware and L. Vaillancourt Men’s Wear, Montreal Road Cornwall.

scan0024

This photograph was taken by Marcel Quenneville, depicting Quincaillerie C. & R. Marleau Hardware, 143 Montreal Road, and Lionel Vaillancourt Men’s Wear, 139 Montreal Road, in the early 1960s.

“C” stands for Charlemagne and “R” for Romeo.

It appears as if someone has just won a new motorboat.

This photograph was donated to the Archives at the Cornwall Community Museum in 2010 by Barabara Tobin, Quenneville’s daughter.
