The sign was painted over an English enamel sign for Jaeger Pure Wool.
Another early Jaeger advertisement reads:
JAEGER PURE WOOL WEAR For Ladies, Gentlemen and Children DR. JAEGER'S well known and well tried system has stood the test of twenty-five years in all climates and in all parts of the world. It is invaluable to Travelers for its properties of PROTECTION FROM CHILL
In 1927 the Good dentist was located at 215 Pitt Street; in 1937 he was practicing at 4 Second Street East. The 1959 and 1963 Directories show him at 126 Sydney Street.
