Artifact of the Week – Dr. M.O. Good / Jaeger Wool Sign

Apparently Dr. Mac Good thought of himself as a wit and told his patients if they complained to read the sign.  There was Good, better and best. He was only good.


The sign was painted over an English enamel sign for Jaeger Pure Wool.

In 1927 the Good dentist was located at 215 Pitt Street; in 1937 he was practicing at 4 Second Street East. The 1959 and 1963 Directories show him at 126 Sydney Street.
