This coloured postcard circa 1900 shows vessels lining-up at the Eastern entrance of the Cornwall Canal.  The steamship in the foreground is the Corinthian.

This is an example of one of the more than 150 historic images of Cornwall and the St. Lawrence River that will appear in the new publication THE LIVING RIVER, the ST. LAWRENCE from MONTREAL to CORNWALL to PRESCOTT, by Ian Bowering and Lor Pelton, to be released by Quarry Press of Kingston, early in January 2017.  To order contact:  Ian10@bellnet.ca
