Mary Mack showing a doll at the United Counties Museum in the Wood House aka Cornwall Community Museum.  Not only was Mary the first museum chairperson, but she saw to it that the City owned the historic Wood House in 1960.  This move ensured its survival.  Over the years the Historical Society has turned the City’s museum into a full time facility, with national museum status, while donating well over $4 million to the operating of the City’s museum.
