Standing “Glengarrian” ashtray.

A wooden standing ashtray of a member of the SD & G Highlanders, Cornwall, in full World War II mess kit, worn by the Glengarrians.

Height:  83.5 cm x 22 cm.

As several of these ashtrays have been found, it seems possible that a member of the Regiment may have produced a number of them as souvenirs for his comrades.

Acquired in 2006, and on display in the dining room.

This November the Museum will have a Remembrance Month exhibit to the veterans of the two World Wars.

The museum is open Wed. to Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm, until Dec. 15.

Admission is free.
